This is a progress photo of my in ground bed that was a massive weed bed. I have to weed it, turn over, and augment each year. This is year three. The first two years I planted sweet potatoes 🍠 Which was nice because they tilled it very well and broke up the clay that was under it (five inches down and I have clay for two feet!) It always has a ton of weeds so this winter when I'm finished with it I'll plant some microgreens and then cover with cardboard and thick mulch to prevent weeds from coming up.
1️⃣ from April when I took out all the weeds for the second time. The patch closest to the garage door was mostly rotted sweet potatoes with no weed growth!
