Half way through the week! After a brutal lower body @barrysbootcamp and in the midst of a "leg hangover" , I tried to keep today's home circuit on the simple side. Focusing on body weight exercises and saving KB work for a starter 8 minute AMRAP and two strength based tabatas, the main circuit and finisher were courtesy of this years #christmasfhix adding in a double ab based tabata to finish off- total time about 50 minutes. In the spirit of reliving the holidays breakfast is a layered up spiced jar of blueberry apple pie overnight oats with granola crumble and almond butter. With this gloomy NYC weather this week a jar of oats and cup of coffee are really hitting the spot this week!

Good morning Happy Wednesday! What a difference a day makes. Woke up feeling brand new. A little rest and some extra greens and ginger did the job. That's why it is so important to maintain a healthy lifestyle (not just for 30 days) so you can fight off sickness quick! Today coach @justin_runs_ogden wanted a 60-90 minute tempo run with my heart rate at 140. Well HR training is new to me. Threw my HR monitor on and headed to the gym. The distance was off. The mill showed 5.89. And Garmin shows 5.37. Not sure which one is correct but check out my heart rate. Avg HR was 138. I was pretty darn close. Not too bad for my first HR training run. Today's workout was more difficult than usual. I had to take breaks, I had to modify and there was a lot of self talk going on. It wasn't a different program or routine it was simply my mindset. Its crazy the power your mind has over your entire being, isn't it?! Truth is, I am battling with some major anxiety over a meeting I am having today and would have certainly preferred to stay in bed and sulk. However, what I know is that I would have felt worse without it! So I did it, I pushed myself through it and it's done! My advice for you...on the days that you don't want to do it, do it anyways because those are the days that you need it the most!
