Think about someone you idolize, are they better than you? I hope you have the confidence in yourself to say NO! These people have simply put in the work day in and day out until they got the body, girl or job that they wanted! Their life changed because they made it happen. Stop cuddling with your excuses, your better than that. •
📣When I started Genuine Athletics after dramatically leaving the commercial gym life I swore to never pressure sell anyone ever again. If someone wants to make a change, I am here to help. If not, I will never force them.. But I have high hopes one day one of my posts resonates with you on a deeper level and inspires you to be the best version of yourself.

I find it funny that people’s toughest investment they ever make is in themselves. They would rather invest in a stock, someone else’s business than invest that same money into their own creative idea. This same principal shows as some people would rather spend $250 at the club but “can’t afford” Personal Training/ Online Coaching... You are entities to your own opinion as I am to mine. I guess it all just comes down to your personal perspective.

First arms and abs ever ✔️ Honestly, I’ve avoided Monday’s because I know arms are tough for me and I didn’t think I could do it. But with @katiewongspelledwang, the time flew by and before I realized it, class was over. My arms feel like jello, but already looking forward to next week! I made one of the best decisions for myself one year ago. To say that I love lifting is an understatement. It's not only changed my life but has become a lifestyle for me. It has made me physically and more importantly mentally stronger. It has taught me that it's not selfish to focus on yourself and only yourself.

I remember always stepping on the scale and letting that number define me and my happiness. Honestly, looking back, I don't regret it. It's made me realize that I was mentally weak and that's okay because it's given me room to grow and a mindset I know to avoid. To anyone reading this, never sacrifice yourself or denote your worth to digits or someone else's opinion. As long as you take care of yourself and are happy, that's all that matters. Nobody can take away from your value. Don't let anything or anyone change how you view yourself or your happiness. Every single person is worth so much more than that.

But tbh, lifting and the fitness industry has shown me that hard work, discipline, and consistency are all equally important in order to achieve your goals. You have to go in with a positive mindset and kill each workout to the best of your ability. Even outside of the gym, all of these apply. I honestly respect bodybuilders, powerlifters, and athletes of all levels because damn you guys work so freaking hard.

I could honestly go on and on but I won't. Here's to a year and many more to come. Have a great day y'all. ❤

It's been a while since I put together an official online challenge group, and here's why....
I've been training for a marathon and have had to customize my cross training using the BOD yoga studio, PiYo, random lifting workouts because most programs are just soooo big!! Sure I've done many programs start to finish, but found it REALLY hard to get in all the scheduled workouts, and then felt discouraged when I'd fall behind.
Especially with summer, schedule changes, weekend adventures, hiking, teaching fitness classes, just to name a few.

I know, especially as I get older, it's so important to keep muscle mass, and I know I need something to supplement my running!! And if we could be real for a moment?? I couldn't really connect with some of the trainers in the last year, and it's kind of boring doing the same"go to" programs all the time.

Here's the best news ever... YOU CAN SAMPLE this workout FOR FREE :) All you need is an internet connection and a couple dumbbells or resistance bands
