So I wanted to start off my reviews with an absolute necessity. The helmet I will be reviewing today is the samshield shadowmatt helmet, and specifically the 5 swaravoski crystals edition.
I will start with the exterior. I didn't have the luxury of physically trying on one of these helmets as they are not available to me locally. I purchased the medium shell size (7) but my size was available in both the medium and the small shell size. I find that the helmet makes my head look much bigger, which could be because I ordered the M instead of the S shell size. So if you have a smaller face, and you fit in 2 shell sizes, choose the smaller size. I am in love with the shadowmatt's finish, however I don't think that the 5 crystals are worth the price difference. The 5 crystals don't provide you with enough bling like the 255 crystals version, nor is it worth spending $79 for 5 crystals that barely show. As for safety, I have had a couple of falls wearing this helmet and it stayed on my head perfectly. Some have mentioned that the forward shaped strap of this helmet annoyed them, however it didn't bother me at all. The interior of this helmet couldn't have been better! It entails a removable liner so you can change the size of your helmet by just changing the liner. It is also machine washable, which is very convenient. Even though this helmet is on the more expensive side, I think that samshield's pricings are reasonable in comparison to competitors like GPA and KEP. @samshield_official @samshieldamerica
