The media space is very dynamic and complex at the same time, let's take a look at the new media space aka social media platforms. A lot of time people misrepresent their personal brand by confusing it with their corporate brand, however sometime, there can be similarities in both brands and can be managed as one entity by a professional PR team. Take for instance, a writer who at the same time runs a training consulting firm. This writer could decide to have same social media handle in pushing out content about his books and at the same time publicize a training on etiquette put together by his consulting firm. It's really not a bad idea but the bad idea is when you allow personal and irrelevant content over shadow the objective of your corporate brand, which could confuse your audience. Another example is a comedian, comedians are known for their funny gestures, videos and photographs. Some comedians have a fan club social media handle that gives information about their comedy company and events, and at the other hand operate another social media handle for their personal brand, that is really cool. I have also observed a common trend with brands linking their social media handles, every social media platform has its limits with content, some are designed for photographic content, while some can accommodate long boring articles. I'll suggest for every brand to identify it's purpose and learn how to communicate it's purpose creatively. #effectivecommunication #sw831global #thinkgrowth
