ZERO WASTE TRAVEL
This is what I'm bringing for a week long trip to the States.
This will be my first time traveling outside of Ontario since committing to Zero Waste, as well as my first time traveling to Massachusetts while eating vegan. Last time I visited I ate pizza and ice cream at every opportunity... So, I'm very curious to see how my current habits can be adapted to a different place. I'm looking at it as a challenge, to see what kind of vegan food I can find, while also eating waste-free. It will be fun to see what obstacles and successes I will face. If anyone has any good New Bedford area vegan/zero waste places to check out let me know!
I remember last time I traveled, that all the garbage, compost and recycling went into a single disposal. It seems crazy to dump all of it in one unit, when you're accustomed to compost and recycling systems. Living Zero Waste actually solves the problem of having to follow another Township's garbage protocol altogether because there is almost nothing to recycle and almost no garbage!
Included in the photo are: a reusable water bottle, a travel mug, glass jar, three nesting tins, a napkin, two reusable bags, a stainless steel straw and a spork. Most of my items are from Life Without Plastic (@lifewithoutplastic). They are so amazing and really help you make Plastic Free travel simple and beautiful. If you haven't checked them out its work the look! 😍
