A bit of functional pec training...? Active mobility for the chest and shoulder? Putting myself in a mechanically inefficient position (shoulder abduction + external rotation) and trying to generate as much force and fluidity as I can. Breakfast of champions (a little one). The idea that sugar feeds our bad bacteria has created a lot of fear and seen a rise in popularity of zero sugar diets, including fruit, which has come at a price. The reality is, sugar feeds your bad as well as your good bacteria, not to mention your cells which create your tissues. Our cells require sugar in order to maintain an oxidative state, regulate efficient energy production, prevent the need for stressful gluconeogenesis, regulate optimal sleep/wake cycles, down-regulate the breakdown of free fatty acids and down-regulate lactate, serotonin and histamine. A very low carb or keto diet is essentially cellular starvation. By raising our metabolic rate through higher food frequency, consuming digestible foods that have optimal transit times, prioritising energy and minerals, the chances of being exposed to bacterial / viral infections reduces significantly (it has been studied with a 6% less chance of infection with every 0.1 degree increase in core body temperature).
