The other day, while my mom was admiring the growth of the monstera deliciosa she gave me, I told her that they are very popular right now. She laughed and said she must have been ahead of the times because has been a fan of them for 20 years! The leaves on mine have gotten very large because it's planted in the ground. I've even been able to root cuttings in water and now have a plant indoors. If you don't have one of these, you should go get one, or have a friend give you a cutting - they seriously are beautiful!
I'm trying out @legionpaper Stonehenge CP paper today and there is so much real estate on this 14x20! So I decided it needed to be filled with a big Monstera Leaf pattern. It's been a long time since I've painted at such a large scale. At first the blank page was a little intimidating, but it turned out to be really fun.
Who else is painting patterns for the @watercolorbootcamp #wb_challenge today? Let me know so I can check them out! If you missed the first enrollment period and want to be notified when registration opens again for the bootcamp, sign up for my email list [link in bio] . You'll also get access to all my freebies too!
