Not all wounds are visible. Yesterday was national PTSD awareness day (which I found out just barely via @thechive) and it's a day that I personally feel needs more attention. So many brave women and men aren't able to fully leave the battle field and those experiences overseas, 1 out of every 6 soldiers coming back from Afghanistan or Iraq suffer from PTSD. On average 18 veterans take their own lives everyday from PTSD. It's not only our service members that are suffering. PTSD is very real, and it is very heartbreaking so see someone endure. I wish there was more I could do or say to make a difference... please help support PTSD awareness!!
