Racism is so American. That If you protest racism , the average American assumes you're protesting America. Also if your going around still saying all lives matter you can go fuck yourself. If your still chanting trump after calling Nazis fine people you can fuck yourself. #fuckdonaldtrump #blacklivesmatter #kollinkapernick #racism #racismisnotdead oh and #fuckdonaldtrump #supportdaca

Hi my name is Karla Rodriguez, I am a DACA premed student majoring in neuroscience at UCLA. I am originally from El Salvador, I came to this country when I was 10 years old. My biggest goal in life is to become a Doctor and travel around the world to help those in need.
Now that I have tell you who I am, I would like to explain the reason why I created this page. As Dreamers, we are constantly being negated from what we what to become in this country, we are negated from our dreams. There are times when I wish I knew more people like us, someone who understands what is like to be discouraged by our legal status but also someone who has been through the same journey and knows how to guide others with their valuable experiences. I believe that I can reach out to other dreamers out there and we all can serve as angels to help, inspire, and guide others to find the strong dreamer we all are. In general, I will also use this page to share my journey through school and things that inspire me to continue to become the professional I want to be.

Many immigrants come to the U.S. as a safe haven. Why did Janak leave Nepal? Was it the civil war? The recent earthquakes? Or was it the economy? - “Why Alabama?” It seemed like a strange pick as a first destination in the US for someone coming all the way from Nepal. “I like Alabama,” Janak said, smiling almost shyly. “Big Party. Big.” “Alabama?” He glanced over. “Big Party,” he repeated. “Why do you need to party?” It helps me forget,” he said. “What do you need to forget?” A sad look came over him. “Lots of things. Life is not always fun. But if I party, then it can be fun.” https://www.ridingupfront.org/janak-redwood-city/

"I was an undocumented immigrant, but applied and was granted DACA status, and started to work. Still, schools were not affordable and classes were not flexible. I came across an ad on Facebook about a tuition-free university. It felt too good to be true so I did my research, read articles, reviews, and watched the President's Ted Talk. I realized I needed to give this a shot. I was already 5 months pregnant with my first child. I wanted to finish my degree as well. As a DACA (Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals) recipient, and not knowing how long the program would be available for, I thought it would be best to pursue my education as that is something you can have forever. Being part of UoPeople means it’s never too late to finish your education.” - Jill B. We need to pass the #DreamAct! There are plenty of #medical #students who've been attending #universities to become #doctors in order to give back to the community. As Stephen Chbosky says “We can't choose where we come from, but we can choose where we go from there.” #DACA
