For all the ladies, who still feel unsure if strength training is right for them, then my question would be: Do you still need to burn more? If, YES, then the answer is: LIFT more! It is scientifically proven how strength training has so many benefits for your health ladies, and one amongst all is weight loss and toning: which is a big one on most women's list. Pregnancy has been an exciting and interesting new experience. For the most part my body has been craving nourishing and wholesome foods but there are always days where my nutrition has not been on point. And not because I have had 'bad' food craving (thank God!) but because I felt lazy to put effort into cooking. Yes, its true. In the hot summer days, sometimes the last thing I felt like is being in the kitchen and prepping meals, which is usually the key to sustain a healthy food-lifestyle relationship. So, I have often, been out and allowing myself to be treated for brunch or have a family member or a friend cook for me. Strenghtening the pelvic floor & getting body ready for labor. Over the last several months my body has gone through a wave of physical stimulus, where sometimes certain movements felt good and others were merely impossible to do. It is a wonderful experience to feel your body go through these changes and how amazing it is at adapting to the necessary environment. At 8month, I took away all heavy weight and complex movements, where I mostly focused on strengthening my pelvic floor and simply do movements that feel good and enjoyable.
Pregnancy is not a great time for competition or setting too high of expectations but the perfect time for tuning in and practicing mindfulness. πŸ’™ #superwomanlife #pelvicfloor

Hearty Breakfast for me & little πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ Right when I got pregnant, I had terrifying comments come at me, like you will get so swollen, you will wake up at 2am to eat a bucket of ice cream, you will have some weird cravings like pickles and cookies....the list goes on and on...Truthfully I did get a bit intimidated by these says, however I decided not to take them to heart and allow myself to explore this new experience. I am at 31 weeks pregnant today and I haven't really experienced any of the above fearful things. Yes, I have had ice cream, yes I have had pizza but all in reasonable proportions. I don't believe in limitations but enjoyment. And although I do think every pregnancy may be different and our bodies can respond in different ways, I feel very grateful for tuning in my own body and experiencing my own changes. To be quite honest, I have more often been craving movement, heathy and nourishing foods, lots of seasonal fruits and salads than any junk foods or sweets. And I do believe this is also a result of lifestyle and eating/lifestyle behaviors I have adapted before even getting pregnant. So despite so minor aversions, I do believe that what you believe in today, how you nourish your body will also affect how you feel and what choices you make when you are pregnant or at any other stage of your life. So this morning, I chose once again to listen to my body and it was really craving some greens, beats and scrambled eggs with ham. Now I feel fully nourished, ready to go about my day and guilt free if I possibly have a bite of chocolate or scoop of ice cream. Internal balance can be a challenging journey for some, but making it your goal and priority can also be the most rewarding thing in life. So don't wait for next week or when you get pregnant. Some light pregnancy front squatting πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈAlthough I have been scaling my weights down and working on training with moderate intensity throughout the hot summer days and later stages of pregnancy, I have been feeling more stable and stronger than ever. For prego mamas out there, who want to be fit, I would definitely recommend now is a good time to focus on form, stability in movement and really connecting to your body, and your baby. It is like entering a whole new stage of training and an experience worth embracing, not overdoing it.
