4️⃣Body Space Awareness & Control -
⭕️An important part of psychomotor skill development is understanding what role each muscle group is playing during the exercise being executed. Even further breaking down individual muscles within that group. Becoming aware of the space around you, how your body moves through it and how you can manipulate your body to do what you want it to do will allow you to progress further faster.
⭕️Performing exercises that force you to THINK is a great way to develop new motor pathways. Don't just do a movement, concentrate on what you're doing, study the movements of your body.
⭕️Performing multiple movements which oppose each other in direction (lateral & rotary) are effective at developing psychomotor skills.
This video demonstrates a combination of dynamic, lateral and rotary movements. This challenges me to focus on what movements I'm performing and what muscles need to be engaged to make it look and feel as controlled as possible. Get creative with your movements but make sure you know what purpose they serve and have fun progressing!🔥🔥🔥
