It’s funny how life works don’t ya think?
About a year ago I decided to take my health back. I was feeling exhausted all the time. Not overweight, but I definitely put on a few pounds from the stress of an office job & just let myself go. I was miserable and I just had enough of feeling sick and tired all the time. I mean I was in my 20’s I should be feeling happy & so energetic & ready to take on the world 🌎but I was the exact opposite. So when I decided to take my health back , I had no idea what to expect. I was active, but I knew it was going to be hard. There was going to be struggles, I was going to feel defeated, days where I wanted to quit, but in the end I had a goal in mind and nothing was going to stop me. Was it hard ? HECK YA Did I want to quit? ABOUT 50 PLUS TIMES
Did I feel defeated? MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT
Was I eating healthy all the time? NOPE
It’s taken me over a year, yes I said a YEAR. To find what works for me and a healthy balance and lifestyle for my body. Do I still have work to do? Of course, I mean when you hit a goal do you just stop? 🛑 NO you keep going and set another goal. You keep pushing past your limiting beliefs and try to be the best version of yourself everyday.
And when it gets hard & you feel like quitting you remember your why you started this journey. There are going to be days where you don’t feel like working out. Or days where you want to eat the cheeseburger 🍔 instead of the salad 🥗 but don’t beat yourself up if you have to modify a move or you eat unhealthy. Pick yourself back up and keep moving on.
If it wasn’t for the community I found to hold me accountable and keep my ass in check, I probably would have quit AGAIN for the millionth time. You have to find your tribe, people who are going to hold you accountable, cheer you on when you succeed, and pick you up when you fall down.
Life’s about balance.
Life’s about enjoying.
Life’s about taking care of your body.
If you’re ready to do that and hold yourself accountable let me know. Cause I’ve been there and I know how hard it can be! And the feeling you get when you quit & try to start over again.
Remember you are beautiful & you CAN do this!
