Happy SUNday! ☀️ Summer is winding down, and usually that means we won't need to wear sunscreen every day anymore. Right? NOPE! We have to keep on putting it on you guys!
Why? One in 5 will get skin cancer in their life --- so even if you have darker skin or 'don't burn', the damage can happen slowly over the years both below and above dermis. All this makes you more susceptible to not just skin cancer, but wrinkles & lines, dullness, discolouration, age spots and hyperpigmention.
Here's some steps you can take to protect yourself:
☀️ Find a great daily moisturizer with at least SPF 30. Put it on in the morning and again in the afternoon --- keep one in your purse!
☀️ Don't forget your lips - invest in a good lip shield with SPF and anti-oxidants to protect your often-forgotten pucker.
☀️ Sunglasses are key to protecting our eyes --- including the delicate, thin and vulnerable skin around them, which is extra susceptible to aging and damage.
☀️ Use enough sunscreen (and re-apply regularly) on your face and body --- at least a shot glass full to cover it all!
☀️ Don't forget those parts we often miss --- back of the neck, ears, toes, calves and hands. Did you know hands sustain sun damage and age faster than any other body part!
So find sunscreens for face, body and lips that will protect you not just in summer, but all year round.
