LET’S TALK ABOUT THE SUNDAY SCARIES FOR A MINUTE 😳 // That moment when the weekend stops feeling like the weekend, and the knot in your stomach has grown because tomorrow is Monday.
I remember feeling like this all through working at an elementary school AND also while I was in elementary school & high school. I always felt like there was a pit in my stomach on Sundays knowing I had to go to work or school the next morning.
Then I started hacking my way through the Sunday Scaries & the Monday Blues. I figured out how to make Sunday & Monday not only manageable, but my favorite days of the week.
🌸 MY TIPS FOR A BETTER WEEK 🌸
1️⃣ Use a planner, calendar, or mobile app to set a clear vision of your week: work, meetings, workouts, grocery shopping, cooking, date nights, girls’ nights, alone time, morning/ night routines.
2️⃣ Tidy up. There’s nothing like waking up on a Monday and having your house in order.
3️⃣ Do something fun or get social. Instead of moping around on Sundays complaining that it’s Sunday and that you have to work tomorrow. Distract yourself.. go out and do something fun.
4️⃣ Try a new recipe & prep some yummy food for the next couple days. Throw in your headphones. Put on some Netflix & get in your creative zone. Sometimes when I cook, I get so zoned out that it’s meditative for me. Keeping it healthy on Sundays = High energy on Mondays.
Take on the week with these new, small habits & I promise, the “Sunday Scaries” knot in your stomach will shrink.
