#sundaybouquet ... ..
we had two most incredible family walks around new years eve, and found some amazing treasures.
These days inbetween years are ever so precious: welcoming and saying farewell in equal measure most thought and all dreams evolve around the theme of change---- We were incredible lucky to witness both, a forest in tumbled beauty, yet melanchic calm: with ancient beech trees lying at rest after the awful storm in october: hundreds of them. Sad and astonishing. Then also a wild dream for all climbers, foragers and fauna enthusiasts... Squirrels, bird nests, an abundance of eldercones, ferns and birch bark. ... 24h later, on day one of this year we found another magical playground. All kids lovingly named it the wolfs abode:
A deep crater, right in the middle of a foresty hide, within the farmer's field: trees to walk across the tinny valley, a badgers or foxes tunnel entrance, strawberry plants and traces of wood wasps who left cheesey holes in a tree... A deers antler, clay earth, mossy magical fairy gardens in amongst tree roots that snake down the steep crater--- the potential for endless play only cut short with the iminent setting of our dear winter sun: we climb up and see a full moon rise / make plans: let's all come back, bring a picnic, let's keep visiting our wolfs abode as long as its not over grown or cut off from the path once the fields are growing spelt again in spring.
Full of this we make our way back across fields, first one who arrives back home lights the fire, others trail behind talking about sunset and moonrise and the planets, i clamber into the chicken coop to take this photo. The runner ducks follow my every step. This is paradise: 2018 you are interesting already... #bauwagenisabel #homeonwheels #wolfskinder #childhoodunplugged
