Rest gets such a bad rap these days.
I think it’s because we oftentimes equate rest with laziness in our culture.
But rest is SO important.
Whether we’re talking about spiritual/emotional/mental rest or physical rest from training, it’s all SO important for our wellness as humans.
I’m feeling a little sore from my last two days of lifting (also the only two days of lifting this sick girl accomplished this week 😅). So today I decided to work more on de-cluttering my life, and creating a clean environment. ✨
I’m still going on a nice long walk to get my body moving and ease the soreness in my legs. 😌 But no gym for me today.
As far as all the other kinds of rest go, I’m definitely finding my groove. 🙌🏼 I’m focusing on what is totally vital and letting go of the rest. I know I need my solid morning routine, and intentions for the day. I’ve also started focusing on only consuming uplifting content - music, books, media, people - whatever I let into my mind, I want it to be uplifting and true.
Life is beautiful when we are serving and doing. But life is also beautiful when we take time to reflect and BE. 🙌🏼
Mindset is SO IMPORTANT and I’ll preach that til my account gets shut down. 😅
