So....you want to lose a few pounds or in general become healthier. You have heard it over and over again, eat low-fat, or fat-free. I see it constantly in the food stores. I go to find 4% or even 9% yogurt, and all I see is 0%-1%. 🤦
We have all heard someone say, "I can't eat that diet food, it tastes like cardboard." Well, companies have been working on their formulas to make those folks change their mind, to make them believe they are eating something tasty AND healthy. How do they do that? With SUGAR.
A study that I pulled up on pubmed proved that those non-fat and low-fat products are FULL of sugar, and have significantly more sugar than their full-fat competitors. This means that you'll find the product tasty, you'll think you're doing something good for yourself, and you'll continue to purchase and consume them. All the while you feel crappy, your health declines, your waistline INCREASES, and you can't figure out why. It's sneaky.
I get it, eating full fat sounds scary because we have been told over and over not to. However, do your health a favor, grab full-fat products, and ENJOY them.. thoroughly!
A friend of mine recently told me a story of a woman who has been counting points for YEARS. This woman decided to eat a piece of full-fat cheese and felt like she was eating the most expensive meal of her life. It was glorious. ....full fat is delicious, you don't need to over indulge because you'll find yourself fuller, faster.
Don't be the woman who doesn't experience nutrition and flavor for the rest of your life. Grab a delicious something, open it, smell it, feel it, slow down and TASTE it. I guarantee you'll love everything about the experience AND you can relish in the fact that there are no harmful added sugars to make it taste good (and harm your health).
