Sugar free pink chocolate 💕 As many of you know I create a lot of completely sugar free recipes ever since I put myself through a complete 6 week sugar detox almost a year ago now. Not going to lie, eating completely sugar free is not easy at all, especially for 6 whole weeks(!!) 😬 But after some research and trials I discovered you don’t actually have to do a full 6 weeks to see results (unless you’re a complete sugar addict who’d also ruined their gut like I was). 👩🏻‍🔬 10 days eating sugar free is enough to reset your biochemical pathways and allow your body to start the detox process - and it’s a much more realistic time frame for most people! ✨ Because so many of you asked me what I ate and how I did it I’ve created a free sugar cleanse workshop video series, just click the link in my bio to watch 🧜🏻‍♀️ I’d also love to hear your thoughts on sugar - has anyone else put themselves through sugar detox?

Day 2.
So I slept straight through my alarm this morning & got a solid 10 hours of sleep🙈I was again very sluggish this morning without my usual cup of Jo. However, I had my cup of tea & hearty breakfast & headed to class. It had only been an hour before I was already hungry again😂 so I ate a delish Rx bar on my walk to class. After class I devoured this bad boy. Hoping it will give me energy for the gym (where I'm currently hiding in my car at😂). I'm still lethargic, but not as irritable so that's good💃🏽 This was my second snack of the day.. trying to only have 3!!...
•2 tbspn chia seeds
• 1cup of unsweetened almond milk •1/2 cup raw walnuts •2 small scoops of cocoa powder

Sorry I haven't been posting much. Late crams for exams and presentations. But 21 Days of Sugar Detox Ahhhhh! We did it! I'm going to be completely honest. This challenge was hard, especially since I had been doing horrible with my diet after I was super sick and I didn't have the energy to meal prep. But I'm back and I'm better, Glory to God! Some things you have to be prepared for our next 21 Sugar Detox after thanksgiving.

1. IT WON'T BE EASY. Be mentally prepared to say NO most of the time. Know that you will be talking to yourself half of the time and be STRONG! You can do it.
2. Prepare in advanced. I went grocery shopping two days before starting my detox. Buy everything you KNOW you WILL eat. Don't buy anything that you haven't tried in hopes that you like it because it will be disappointing. Trust me, I know.
3. Write down your meals on Sunday for the rest of the week. Include Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner. And if you workout late like me a 100% no flavor whey protein with no sugar. Yep. Sorry guys. No sugar means no pre-workout. I know I know, it sucks.
4. Whenever you get cravings, look at some motivational pictures. Yep, fit girls make my cravings go away. Because i want to also have abs. Lol.
5. Believe in yourself. You CAN do it. Nothing is impossible, it's hard, but NOT impossible.

Oh and BTW. I lost 7lbs and my waist got a lot smaller. All that water weight from carbs. This is a low carb Detox. (No bread, or Refined Sugars)

May I present to you...Edamame and Roasted Corn Succotash with Lemon Kale Salad. •
The edamame was delicious. Lemon kale not so much. Too lemony for my liking. •
For the Succotash (1 serving):
1/2 cup fresh corn kernels
3/4 cup shelled edamame
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 medium shallot, diced
1/2 medium red bell pepper, diced
1/4 medium red onion, diced
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
2 tbsp fresh cilantro •
Bake corn on baking sheet in single layer at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Boil edamame in water for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and set aside. •
In skillet add olive oil, shallot, bell pepper, and onion. Stir frequently for 10 minutes or until soft. Add corn and edamame and continue stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add rice vinegar, lime juice and cilantro. -

I was going to post about my easy thanksgiving sides...but I wasn’t feelin it today. I saw this black cherry 🍒 juice on clearance @naturalgrocers and decided to make #healthiercocktails for the holiday with it. Black cherry is antioxidant rich and can help reduce inflammation so it’s a tiny benefit when you feel like an adult beverage. 😉😉 I mixed equal parts of vodka and black cherry juice and a splash of this Meyer lemon mix I had (you can use a splash of lemon and lime too). I topped it off with club soda to save on added sugars. I will make this version for my guests or use ginger beer instead of the Meyer lemon to make it a black cherry mule. #happyholidays #isthispaleo #itsaboutbalance
