Fruits DO NOT mix well with any other food group! Fruits should be eaten alone as a meal on an empty stomach.
Fruits (especially tropical ones) have digestive enzymes that help to clean out the residue left over from the food you've eaten the night before. Pineapple is a great fat burner and roto-rooter, scrubbing and cleansing its way through yourintestinal tract. Papaya has a number of medicinal qualities and has been proven to be an effective meat tenderiser.

Fruits travel through the digestive tract very quickly (within an hour) which is why it's so important not to eat them with any other food group.

With Food Combining, you typically NEVER want to mix any of the fruits with any other food group, and each fruit group should be eaten separately from one another. HOWEVER, you can bend this rule to a degree. .

Saw this chart about different fruits not mixing well with others. Not sure how big of a deal it really is but interesting nonetheless. All I know is when I'm under the weather (not feeling well) I'm reaching for the citrus fruits, probably because of the high contents of vitamin C and antioxidants. Mmmm giant PNW sub acid peaches.... drooling... Coming from the Midwest where acid balance peaches from Colorado and Michigan reign supreme I was grateful to be exposed to these bad boys also. Mango and blueberries = perfekt combination...I really like simple meals and most of the time I prefer one kind of fruit as a monomeal. When it comes to smoothies/dressings or something like that I think more than 3 ingredients (fruits, vegetables) is enough to make it delicious and easy do digest! It is really simple and your digestion will thank you. All you have to do is take a closer look at the difference between the sweet, the sub acid, the acid, the non, and the fat fruits!
