Another treadmill day after some light pampering during my snow day! 🤣 living the glamorous life over here! I don’t want to get too flashy with a picture of my treadmill set up, so I leave you this! 🤣🤣 (most of you know by now my treadmill is being held together by rope, duct tape and bricks-so I kid.😜)•

On a more serious note, I’m trying to focus in on my form during treadmill runs. I’m a true mid-foot striker but I’m constantly getting injured on the treadmill which tells me I must change how I run from outdoors to indoors. Yesterday’s run indicated I was toe striking for most of it which leads me to believe I was over striding or reaching with my fore foot and putting more stress on my lower legs. Tonight I really focused on having my stride land right below my center of gravity (the more important part of foot strike really has nothing to do with toe, mid, or heel... it is really where your foot lands in relationship to your body!) and I think even in just two runs the data can tell you a lot! I have to get better at treadmill running in order to be successful with my goals! ▶️ Woche 14 - Sub3Hours ◀️ Füße hochlegen nach der heutigen Tempoeinheit 🙈 heute war ich zum Intervalltraining wieder auf der Bahn 🏃🏼‍♂️💨 Damit es kein Muskelkater gibt - geht es nach der Einheit vorbildlich auf die Blackroll 👌 Einheit war anstrengend, verlief aber planmäßig & ich bin mehr als zufrieden 😊 (16,1km 1:12:58h ~40 Runden 😵) schönen Abend wünsche ich euch 🙂

.. Nok har jeg et mål om sub3 på marathon, men mit mål om, at gennemføre både 1/4 og 1/2 Ironman er der også. Så med praktik overstået, starter endnu et nytårsfortsæt 👉🏻 kom igang med svømning. Og det gjorde jeg så i dag - 2100m svøm efterfulgt af 11,2km løb 🏊🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

Throwback to my Dad running the Stawell April 1984 marathon.
I now run at the club (Adelaide Harriers) he was president at and is a life member.
With me being more predominantly into trail running we still have great chats about his old running days. 2:56 was his fastest marathon ran. It’s really interesting to hear how running has and hasn’t changed in the last 50 Years. These guys lived for running. He had his own running group called the Seacliff rats. Who still catch up every year around Xmas. He is pretty lean in this photo, and I’d say without even asking, he’d love to be back in this moment in a heartbeat. -
