See how empty our fridge is? That’s because it stopped working almost a month ago and the part was on back order. Well my friends today is the day our fridge gets fixed....somewhere between the hours of noon to 5:). .

6️⃣ years ago, I decided to lose 30lbs.
.
Do you want to know what my first step was to losing that weight❓
.
My first step wasn’t hiring a coach (although I did immediately)✅
.
My first step wasn’t getting a gym membership (although I did that as well)✅✅
.
My first step wasn’t even getting some gym shoes (but I did that too)✅✅✅
.
⭐️The first step I made toward actually losing those 30 lbs (which I did), was COMMITTING TO MYSELF⭐️
.
Making up my mind!⚡️
.
🔮Deciding, I AM going to do this.
.
I didn’t say “well I want to lose weight and be comfortable, lose my love handles and back fat, fit my clothes and feel sexy again BUT I don’t have time”🤷🏽‍♀️
.
I didn’t say “Well I have a 1 year old. And I work full time. And I’m in college FULL TIME... soo I’ll do my best but my life is just too busy” 🙅🏽‍♀️
.
But if I did say those things (&make those excuses, because that’s exactly what they are)👇🏽
.
👀I’d STILL BE 30lbs heavier, uncomfortable, not feel sexy and unhappy!
.
So tell me again, why don’t you have time to workout 3x a week?🙇🏽‍♀️

🍴Why can’t you make healthier eating decisions? .
Trust me, if there is a will, there is a way! You can do it, you just don’t actually want to.

But I PROMISE you, you CAN do it. You WILL do it🏅

I know how you feel right now, because I’ve been in your shoes.

But if I could make time with a 1 year old, working 40 hours a week and going to college FULL TIME! Girl, YOU CAN DO IT TOO!🙌🏽

That’s why I created The Fit4Life Method, because it took me 6 years to get to where I am today with my health and fitness.

& it don’t want it to take you that long. Figuring things out and yo yo dieting.

I wish I had someone show me the way when I first started (I actually emailed a ton of people who either told me no or didn’t respond at all).

My 8 year old’s breakfast 🍳 creation. He did it all by himself... minus cracking the egg 🥚. He still doesn’t seem to believe me that veggies 🍅 are great to eat at breakfast time, but at least he managed to put 1 🍓 on his plate.
I love that my lifestyle is starting to influence my son... he doesn’t always want healthy choices, but he’s coming along. 😉

Real talk :: making time for yourself is important. I never knew what I was doing at the gym with weights and personal trainers are too expensive. Now I have a trainer right on my tv! And when the trainer says push yourself and increase your weights because you can do it, you go for it. I surprised myself pushing 20 pounds for this inclined chest press. And got some bonus glute work with the bridge. Do you need a trainer in your living room?

4 years ago, I was struggling. Losing hope. Yet so AFRAID to stay where I was. I wanted to give up so bad!!!! But I had a friend reach out to me and she got me started with an at home workout and a special shake.⠀

On October 5th I fully committed. I went ALL IN! I even gave up diet coke! I learned to meal plan for the first time ever and even started to meal prep.⠀
.⠀
Ha! Looking back, I had heard about “clean eating”, but I had no clue what it was, what it looked like, nor how much it was going to change us. I just knew it was a necessary change our family needed in our lives!⠀
.⠀
We went from eating out at least 4 times a week at various fast food restaurants to cooking all our meals at home! ⠀
.⠀
The biggest changes we noticed right away? We SAVED TONS OF $$ and our boys were no longer getting the “sick bug” from school! Plus they had more control of their emotions and their behavior!⠀
.⠀
Believe me, we even personally tested our “fast food” theory and we swore to never go to certain restaurants again! It has been 4 years since we have hit up some of the “favorite” fast food chains like Burger King, McDonalds, Carl’s Jr. and a handful of others.⠀
.⠀
See when I decided to finally go all in, not only my life but my family’s life changed for the better. Mama got to work on herself and the family became happier and healthier in her journey!⠀

As you can see October will always be a special month for me! When I made the choice to fully commit during one of the hardest teaching months of a school year surrounded by ALL the Halloween candy, it completely changes me.⠀
.⠀
I learned I had more discipline than I gave myself credit for. I learned I was stronger than I believed I was. I learned that through consistent effort, my life, my health, was worth fighting for!⠀

So much of my life has changed and I am thrilled that I can pay it forward to you and help you reach your goals! Today was one of those days where it was non-stop from the time I woke up until when I walked in the door at 6:30 this evening. My youngest still isn’t sleeping through the night and was up for good at 5 am.😴 Then I had work to get done before I left for my first cross country meet (which by the way was SO much fun and the kids did great!😍💕), which kept me going non-stop with no screen time today. I know most of you are thinking, ok, so what....I’ll get to the point. •
With no screen time, I didn’t even log my workout in my accountability group until after 5 pm (which is very unlike me!). And that’s the amazing thing about an accountability group...even though it’s all virtual, people notice when you don’t log in!! And, a buddy of mine reached out to me to check to make sure everything was ok, because that wasn’t like me. I let her know it was a crazy day, but it’s so nice to have such an amazing support group!!😍💕 •
So, I know some people may think that online groups are a joke, but I cannot say enough about the amazing women it has connected me to. We support each other, help keep each other accountable and truly want each other to succeed. I don’t know where I’d be without my tribe and am so grateful for these amazing women!! As I drove my girls to school today I asked them to tell me one thing they were grateful for.
I said I was grateful for the sun because it provides heat for our planet. I have been really grumpy about the heat that comes with September so this was my way of staying positive about it. 😂

Mia- said something but I didn’t understand and she said that if I didn’t understand not to worry. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s so Mia though.
Maddie- just giggled and said nothing.
Mae- brought it full circle when she quickly responded. “I am grateful to be alive”. I think this kid is unto something. 💕

Lean mass VS Fat mass and how it changes our body composition.

Her stats:
- 22 years old
- 5’8.5”
- 133/134 pounds
- active lifestyle (jet ski instructor at work) but no gym, training, weightlifting or nutrition. - Daily calories around 11-1300 daily
On the right, it’s ME🎃 -
Stats:
- 31 years old (wtf⁉️ When did this happen?)
- 5’8”
- 133/134 lbs
- Sedentary at work 40+ hours a week trains 4 days a week under an hour and ZERO cardio.
- Daily calories 1800-1850 daily current macros: 130 grams protein 185 grams Carbohydrates 60 grams Fat

Now, by no means is my sister over weight, it’s just our lean mass VS fat mass is very different!

Below I will put the link to a very great article by @bretcontreras1 which explains and goes over the difference more in-depth.

The biggest take I want you all to get from this is:
- muscle and being lean will not make a woman look manly - You can gain muscle and still weigh the same weight, however, physically you will see changes
- Building muscle will increase the speed of your metabolism; therefore allow you to eat more food
And lastly,
- Even after having a baby, children, enduring mom life, working 40+ hours a week you can still have a kickin’ body like a 22 year old! You can get it back!

I never really knew jet lag until yesterday!!!!

Coming down from a 3 day emotional high got me all crazy 😜 But it was sooooo worth it! Spending time with my besties, relaxing by the pool and laughing so hard my mouth hurt 😍
.
We ate a lot! We drank a lot! I did one workout while I was there. And missed yesterday’s workout 😳 We celebrated Bill's birthday last night which meant celebrating with his favorite dinner (an unhealthy pasta dish with Velveeta) and cake and ice cream.
.
Today I'm choosing to get back on track (even though I really don't want to). I FINALLY unpacked this morning. And my bloated, very tired body is getting ready to press play and get this 30 minute workout over with. I KNOW I'll feel better after!
.
So even though today won't be my most productive day, I'm choosing to do the most important tasks (which includes work, meal planning, and laundry) and schedule in some down time and rest.
.
I am grateful to be home ❤️❤️ I am grateful to be able to fly across the country to hang with my besties. I am grateful for a husband who can take over when I'm gone. Happy hump day friends!

What is your go to food or drink when you attempt to put stuff back in?

Do you set goals? Do you set daily goals, weekly goals monthly and yearly goals? Or do you just go through life? Goals are important! They lite a fire within and make you a better person! They help you grow and not just be stagnant in life! They help bring energy and excitement! Just writing about goals fires me up! I love a challenge especially when life gets bland! Goals help you be a better more interesting person!
Being a Mom is amazing and challenging! When my kids were little my goals were to keep them happy, loved, fed, clean and safe! There came a point when they got older and I needed more for myself! More of a focus on me. And I am doing it by setting goals! If your NOT your missing out! Do something for yourself today and set a goal!
