Just because you are not where you want to be today doesn't mean it is not possible. Today, I was thinking back to the way I felt about my body after I had my first baby. I really really struggled with the body changes!!! It was so hard. I know you moms can relate!! I felt really hopeless that I could have even a tiny bit of a flat stomach ever again. What I have learned along the way is that it takes time and consistency but having a strong body again is possible. Notice I didn't say skinny and perfect? I want to focus on strong and being my best not perfect. Be patient and gentle with yourself. I was NOT patient and gentle with myself. I said lots of negative things about myself in the beginning.👎🏻👎🏻 Also, embrace the beauty of your body, flaws and all. If you are doing your best, your flaws are part of your beauty and if people in your life don't see that, they don't belong in your life!! I have extra skin too!!

The part of my practice that requires the most patience is flexibility. Slowly but surely with every breath I am making progress. I actually enjoy the parts where I struggle because it means discovering new strength.

Regelmäßige Bewegung hilft dir dich wohler zu fühlen. Du bekommst ein neues Gefühl für dich und deinen Körper. Du lernst deine Grenzen kennen und darüber hinaus zu wachsen. Dir wird bewusst wie viel in dir steckt und wozu du fähig bist. Wie schnell du dich verbessert, wie schnell du etwas erreichen kannst. Wie gut du dich fühlst, wenn du ausgepowert bist nach dem Training. Wie toll es sich anfühlt gesund zu essen und wie viel geiler eine Pizza eigentlich schmeckt, wenn man sie nur noch einmal pro Woche isst. Fitness ist so viel mehr als eine Zahl auf der Waage oder ein Spiegelbild. Ganz egal, was du vor hast. Bewegung wird immer gut sein. Bewegung wird dir immer helfen ein besseres Gefühl für dich und deinen Körper zu bekommen. Und es wird dir helfen selbstbewusster zu werden, stärker zu werden. Nicht nur deine Muskeln werden daran wachsen, sondern auch deine Seele!

Sorry for the boring infographic, but I've had lots of questions about which foods to eat and why. Well that depends, right? No food should be vilified but for those people in a cut, satiety is the name of the game. Consuming food that helps you feel full longer (and on less calories) can help you stick to your cut. And wether in a cut or not, more food bang for the buck is never a bad idea. Honestly, I eat a majority at the top half, so I can eat an occasional one at the bottom. #balance Foods high in protein and fiber are very beneficial in keeping us satiated. I found this little infographic on nutritiondata.self.com. While I won't be munching on bean sprouts any time soon, it could be a good source to look at when picking a snack to hold you over until a bigger meal. And I may have just convinced myself there needs to be more popcorn 🍿 in my life. As if I needed a motivator😉.
