Oh man I didnt want to share this really, because who likes to talk numbers on a scale!? 😝 but what is so neat about this graph is that is shows how rapid weight loss happens at the beginning!! The closer you get to your goal...the slower it goes...you may be gaining muscle etc..but it slows down. It is SO easy to forget whe you go through a 4MONTH PLATEAU! ↪Yes 4 months 0 movement on the scale. I literally quit weighing myself. I was fed up. But guess what, I did not weigh myself for about a month and I dropped 2 lbs and gained muscle! Like come on now, it's just a flipping number, so I'm not gonna obsess anymore. As long as I'm eating right and exercising, I'm going to enjoy it!

How can it be possible that these are all foods in my daily life? I can eat a salad along with oreos and it is normal. I am not eating one or the other out of pressure, rather out of want. Your pallet may look totally different. You might ACTUALLY not like sweets- and that is ok too! ⠀
But I believe that if I have a craving, I eat something. If I tell myself, NO NO NO NO NO-then...it makes me want it. It's sorta kinda like the boyfriend you knew was bad in HS- everyone told you so, but you still wanted to date him! LOL Ok, or maybe more like the "Don't touch it-it's HOT!" warning...that warning triggers something in our brain that says..."touch". ⠀
This practice has allowed me to have a donut or an oreo or a s'more with no guilt. White-knuckling through counting macros made me crazy. Weighing and measuring and having a cut-off time to eat....made me want to eat past the cut-off! Maybe that just makes me a rebel! Maybe you can relate? Either way- let me teach you how to enjoy food without white-knuckling through a dumb diet! ⠀

Whole Food Nutrition 🥗

Nutrition needs to be the ultimate foundation for overall health. But how much nutrition education have we had during our life. For most people in the world you may have had one maybe two nutrition classes during your schooling. I know this was the case for me growing up. It wasn’t until college and after where I have done a lot of research, studying and certifications in nutrition where I really have learned about the food I am eating.🥗

Whole food nutrition, what does that mean? Whole Foods are foods that are not processed or refined or processed as little as possible. Whole Foods are more likely to give you the micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) your body needs to function and survive. 🥗

Without these essential micronutrients in your diet your body can start to develop disease. Disease is a process that develops over time. Disease simply means your body is at a state of dis - ease . Meaning it’s not in balance and medical issues may be forming that can surface overtime. This can be in the form of unhealthy gut flora, heart disease, sugar sensitivities, inflammation, immune disorders etc. 🥗

After reading that quote as part of our geography lesson this morning, I “fell.” 😔 We had a bit of a tough time at the playground, and my response was horrendous.
I’m so thankful I serve a God who doesn’t depend on me being perfect and continues to do a good work in me. A few ways he showed me grace this afternoon:
He surrounded me with other Christian women who helped me collect myself and my children so that I didn’t continue to allow my anger to control me.
He gave my kids patient and gracious responses during a time that was difficult for them.
He gave me gracious words in the midst of my anger so that his love could still show through even after my poor outburst. No way would I have apologized in my own power with the way I was feeling, but it was absolutely necessary after my behavior.
I so often get comments like, “I don’t know how you do it.” The Truth is, I fail a lot. I make many mistakes. I am not finished yet. I am a work in progress. And so are you!
So even though you may not ever see my struggles, I have them. We all do. Our job is to learn and grow through them. They are part of how God is making us into the people He wants us to be.

Getting it done, shoulder style! These workouts are pretty insane! But thank goodness it's only 4 days a week! They are also like the equivalent of over an hour of work at the gym but packed into just under 40 minutes! I def work up a sweat!
