Mom did a lot for sports: to promote and to support. She was never afraid to speak the truth of a poor financing, of corruption, of bad injuries, of hardships athletes had to go through - she was with media but she was media with heart, media on a side of a sportsmen. She favored real heroes with boiling blood over guys in the offices who spoke long and boring. I saw it. I felt it. I inherited it. It was right in front of my eyes when she got in a severe accident at cross country race when an athlete ran into her full speed while she mindlessly was crossing to interview the kids. She spent months in hospital between life and death. She was back. And she continued. Continued to promote healthy life style, exercise and sports. Mom won my battles, cancer was stronger but here I am, hitting my 3d Olympics hoping one thing that at some point I will be able to do more for sports myself, to influence younger ones, to engage them, to get them started, to help them into the world of sports because it builds up a character, it makes one a fighter, a hero! Looking at the road @pita_tofua has walked to the Games, the way @german_madrazo crosses the finish line, at how @sebas_uprimny and the others were there to support makes me feel like there is nothing impossible! Recently I have received so many messages from women who write to me and ask how they can lose their baby weight? Most of the time they are only a few months postpartum!🙀 I want to be completely honest here, it took me 17 months to return to my natural size. Not 3 months or 6 months.... 17 months! And I feel really proud of myself because I had made a decision to focus on True and how I could best care for her as her mother. This experience was all new to me and I had no clue what I was doing. It was overwhelming at times and there were hormonal mood swings like crazy. My plate was already full and I didn’t need to add the stress of poor body image to that plate. So, I chose not to. After experiencing pregnancy and the universal intelligence that is hardwired in the female body, I quickly understood that regardless of what my mind wanted, my body was going to create a human. Isn’t that weird? I wasn’t doing anything to create a baby, my body knew exactly what to do and I was just along for the ride. Being pregnant taught me that my body knows what is best and all I can do is feed it well and stay active, then it will decide what happens next. I let go of the need to control it and sure enough, my body healed and recovered in it’s own time. I feel strong and healthy and I encourage other women who are carrying extra pounds from pregnancy to be kind to yourself. You have been through so much and you deserve time to rest, recover, and focus on your new child without shame around your beautiful body. The only way to this planet is through a woman. #mommymonday My life has become a series of wanting to capture every moment with my toddler and never being able to because she’s very, very busy. The days are closing in on it being just her and I and I’m scared to death! This time around I’m not afraid of how MY life will change, I’m worried about how HERS will. I’m hoping for a smooth transition but bracing myself for growing pains, especially as we’ve entered this new “I only want mommy” phase. Every day I learn something new in this journey through motherhood and if there’s one thing that resists change it’s the bond with my little girl and I’m holding on tight to that! 💕 •

Welcome to my crazy life! Top 3 tips to “change the plan not the goal” below👇🏼👇🏼 I needed some heavier weights today. And my kids were happy to help! 😬😉 In a perfect world, my workout would always be done when my kids woke up, but I don’t live in a perfect world. 😂

We did the last move and on my weight tracking today, I wrote “Tatum” then “Joshua” then “Tatum plus Josh” 💃🏻😂 Here’s 3 tips today to help you realize you can change the plan and NOT the goal:
1️⃣ change your mindset about what’s possible. If you can’t make it to the gym, but you’ve decided you aren’t “motivated” to workout from home, then something has to change and it starts in here 🙆🏻‍♀️ 2️⃣ think outside the box—don’t be afraid to try something different! Incorporate your kids into a workout routine—anything you can do with weights, you can do using kids, or you can give your kids “weights” to use along side you. Then they’re learning by example.
3️⃣ Make it easier to accomplish your goal—don’t plan to do a workout at a time you know you won’t succeed. If you delay doing exercise all day long, then do it first thing. Don’t give yourself time to psych yourself out so much that you give up before you start! ⬇️⬇️⬇️tell me below something crazy about you!
