Progress is progress is progress || Since moving back to Sri Lanka, I feel like I've been adjusting at the pace of a snail. On one hand, I thought I'd bounce back to the groove of things but realistically, things have changed and circumstances are different. The first three weeks have been a slow adjustment and at times I internalized my frustration or laid the burden on D. Uncertainty for the future pairs nicely with my anxiety and I was very uncertain about a lot of things.
But with time, I'm learning that it's like a balancing act - between work and play, time alone and time with new friends. Reflection, focus, and action. And now, here I am. In Galle, and embracing the ch-ch-ch-changes. I'm finding home in a place where I felt like a stranger just weeks ago and I'm finding a routine that I'd have back in Canada. Progress is progress is progress.
Side note: speaking of progress, finally made it into #birdofparadise !!
