It might not be today or tomorrow, but it’s day will come. Just go visit the old folks in a nursing home. Count the wheel chairs, canes, walkers and other devices made to act as external foundations.

So when you’re out there living your barefoot-style life, remember that you’re doing it because you’re dedicated to standing tall until your last breath. Until some higher power decides that it’s your turn to be bulldozed to make room for the next generations.

Most of “look well” industry (move/workout) focus on “what to do”, if lucky you’ll receive the “how to” do it. Assuming we all have the same 👣 foundation. The same efficient way to absorb impact forces as we walk 🚶🏻‍♂️. Assuming we’re all familiar with how much potential there is on each stride and how shoes are diminishing the efficiency of sensors on 👣 and their communication to the brain 🧠 through the Central Nervous System. Too often a technique gets most of the attention and or importance in order to succeed in a discipline/sport. 👣 might not what grounds you (if you’re a swimmer 🏊🏻‍♀️ or an aerialists) but they sure are your only connection to the ground for most of the day.
Where we come from (school, work sitting or standing all day) determines our strongest and weakest links as well as our habits. And will most definitely play a huge role in the injury subject. Not the just the technique applied 5 hours a week. What’s your foundation 👣 like? Your go to postures at home? Work? School? Is your coach/trainer/teacher aware of this? .
