๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ‘ I'm not sure where the big butt thing started. It could have been Sir Mix a Lot, or maybe it was the proliferation of twerking in music videos. But as a society, we are completely obsessed with butts.

I think it's a good idea to develop the glute muscles, hamstrings, and quads. ๐Ÿ‹๐ŸปBecause if these muscles are not strong, they can lead to hip flexor pain, as well as knee pain from unbalanced muscles. I've been there and done that with the knee pain and weak glutes. Balance and stability are also greatly affected by weakness of our posterior chain.

But do we NEED to have a giant badonkadonk? ๐Ÿ‘€ No, not really. In fact, as long as your glutes are strong and functioning well, from a physical perspective, a giant booty isn't really necessary. Increased size of your booty will likely become a result of strength training in that area, and no, I cannot lie, it's always nice to fill out a pair of jeans. But by focusing on glute strength and muscle development (for the purpose of getting stronger) you will eventually make your ๐Ÿ‘– denim proud.

So here's my advice on how to get a better butt 101.

1๏ธโƒฃ Stop worrying about the size and look of your butt. Seriously. Use that energy to think about happy things like cute ๐Ÿฑ kittens and ๐Ÿ“ smoothies.

2๏ธโƒฃ Stop comparing the size of your butt to anyone else on Instagram; we are all different and genetics, the way someone stands, photoshop, angles, and/or cosmetic surgery can all affect the way someone's butt appears in a photo.

3๏ธโƒฃ Do some glute building workouts with the purpose of getting stronger, ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป to have balanced muscles, avoid injury, and futureproof your body.

4๏ธโƒฃ LOVE YOURSELF AND YOUR BODY just the way you are because YOU are beautiful and nobody should tell you otherwise, including yourself!

Everyone needs a place to let go of the day and just focus on the present. Here is my place of relaxation as I put my body through hell! I love this! I am a vice Principal and today, as I was walking the walkers down to the edge of our school property, was told by a sixth grader, "You look like a body guard!" I am little buddy. My job is to protect him and about 600 other kids and faculty members! I train for health and for those I care for!
