Two COMPLETELY different classes taught by two different people (me and @miko727 ). After the holiday a good workout like this is always a great option!! If you've never tried Strong by Zumba it's a High Intensity Interval Training class that is choreographed to the beat of the music. Zumba with Tamiko is a high intensity cardio. Both are AMAZING workouts. If you were there for both classes tonight I am so proud of you! Happy Tuesday friends! I have another tip for you... When it comes to achieving your goals guess what...you have to actualls set REALiSTIC ones. I know crazy right?!? If you decide to set a goal for next month and you say that you want to lose 50 lbs in the next 30 days, I'm going to tell you that you need to re-evaluate your goal. Why?
1. It's not safe
2. It's unrealistic --> that's what I want to focus on "Don't strive for perfection or an improbable goal that can't be met" -Kara Thompson, spokesperson for the International Health Racquet and Sportsclub Association; instead "Focus on increasing healthy behaviors". In other words if you can't do something today, such as run a 5k, start out small. Start by walking 15 or 20 minutes each day. Then after a week or so, add a few minutes, or you could always decide to add distance instead. Whatever works for you. One day you'll be running that 5k and saying it was a piece of cake!

I made a choice to FULLY commit for the next 3 weeks to an intense program. And let me tell you I couldn't be more excited! I'm also a little nervous. But change happens out of your comfort zone right?!? After following my friend and coach Danielle as she made the shift I knew I just had to do this program. What would you do if I told you that you could drink a chocolate shake every morning for breakfast and that it was HEALTHY!! I know I know you're probably thinking I'm crazy right?!? But let me tell you that this shake has helped me.... 1. Feel awake and energized in the morning (I'm NOT a morning person!)
2. Control my cravings...I mean I crave sweet things ALL the time...not so much now.
3. Feel less bloated
It's not a "weight-loss" shake or a "protein" shake it's a shake that is filled with SUPERFOODS and lots of healthy things to help your body!
Plus my favorite part is that it's chocolate and the different things I can add to it make it taste yummy! Sometimes I forget it's healthy 😉

Do you know how much water you should be drinking each day?? If not here's a little math lesson for ya.... Oz of water you should be drinking = your body weight (in lbs) divided by 2
Example: 1 person weighing 150lb / 2 = 75
So someone weighing 150 lbs should be drinking AT MINIMUM 75 oz of water each day. However, if you exercise you should probably be drinking a little more than that.
Your body needs to rehydrate after exercise. It is recommened that you drink at least 20 oz of water after a workout for optimal recovery. So guzzle up!

Fitness professional and life coach Allan Fine of Calgary Alberta, Canada says that "fitness is a state of mind". But how do you get into that state of mind?? Fine says one of his tricks is to read a blog or find different websites that he can look to for motivation.
