This right here is the result of 1 hour of Strong by Zumba and 1 hour of Zumba.
Two COMPLETELY different classes taught by two different people (me and @miko727 ). After the holiday a good workout like this is always a great option!! If you've never tried Strong by Zumba it's a High Intensity Interval Training class that is choreographed to the beat of the music. Zumba with Tamiko is a high intensity cardio. Both are AMAZING workouts. If you were there for both classes tonight I am so proud of you! Tip Tuesday:
Have you ever had that excuse that you're just "too busy" so you have to skip your workout?? Yeah me too...but guess what you don't have to do that! Make a plan that works for YOU and your schedule.
This is my planner, each day I have written my schedule for literally everything (and yes it's color coordinated). I have my posts for this page scheduled out, my work schedule, my gym schedule (teaching) and I also have my exercise schedule written out. Do things change? Yes they do! But for me I have to know what I am going to do before I get to the gym otherwise I find myself unmotivated and wandering around the gym trying to figure out what to do. So I schedule my workouts and I make sure that schedule fits my life!
If I know there's a day that I can't (or wont) make it to the gym then I also have backup workouts that I can do at home. If you have floor space you can always do some floor exercises to target certain areas, do about 10 or 12 reps of each move and you're done! •

I’ve watched this movie twice, and I can honestly say that each time I watch it I feel more moved, and more connected to my faith. As a teacher in a Catholic school, I know that I am very privileged to be allowed to mention the name Jesus and not be afraid of losing my job. The thought of even having a student ask me a question that I could not answer….I don’t think that I could handle that. Granted, laws are specific to each district and state, but the thought is still baffling to me. In essence, the teacher is an agent of the state to act as an educator to the children according to the curriculum, and speaking beyond or above what the contract guidelines, violates that contract. As a Christian teacher, working in a public school, that puts them in a position of not being able to speak about their faith in ANY context. To all of my teacher friends, especially those of you who have a faith background, I highly recommend watching this movie.

Gym therapy is my favorite kind of therapy. Anyone else?? Sometimes when you have an off day it just feels good to work the stress out at the gym. •

Tip Tuesday:
Do you remember when you were younger and you went somewhere and you were reminded to use the buddy system?? I know I do this with my kiddos at work ALL the time. For example, we went on a field trip on Friday, I had 8 kids in my group so I said to them "Pick a buddy, see this buddy, you're in charge of eachother! Stay with your buddy!" I do this for 2 reasons, 1 it makes my life a little easier because I know that they will stick together, 2 it gives them a sense of responisbility. They are accountable for eachother.
This applies to the gym as well! Want to be successful? Use the buddy system! Find a friend or someone that you trust to hold you accountable. Go to the gym together, or if that's not an option to go to the gym together, there are other ways to keep eachother accountable. Text eachother, check in with each other, post something on social media. Anything to keep you accountable. You will be surprised what having a workout buddy can do for you!

She's hilarious!) wrote a book...How To Be A Bawse...I've been really taking my time reading it and let me tell you it is worth the read! Even if you have no idea who she is, you should check it out! It will change the way you look at things in your every day life!

Happy Tuesday friends! I have another tip for you... When it comes to achieving your goals guess what...you have to actualls set REALiSTIC ones. I know crazy right?!? If you decide to set a goal for next month and you say that you want to lose 50 lbs in the next 30 days, I'm going to tell you that you need to re-evaluate your goal. Why?
1. It's not safe
2. It's unrealistic --> that's what I want to focus on "Don't strive for perfection or an improbable goal that can't be met" -Kara Thompson, spokesperson for the International Health Racquet and Sportsclub Association; instead "Focus on increasing healthy behaviors". In other words if you can't do something today, such as run a 5k, start out small. Start by walking 15 or 20 minutes each day. Then after a week or so, add a few minutes, or you could always decide to add distance instead. Whatever works for you. One day you'll be running that 5k and saying it was a piece of cake!
