Daily life is causing us to sit more than we should. Our bodies are not designed to sit, poor posture causes issues thru the kinetic chain. Simply by looking at the hamstrings when tight can throw postural alignment off, creating imbalances that may lead to pain. When hamstrings are in a tightened position, they cause the pelvic area to tilt forward, ( posterior tilt)
With this position, there is little or no curvature ( lumber lordosis) in the spine, the sitting bones ( where the hamstrings attach) are pulled under while the thighs and hips jut forward. This in turn places excessive strain on the lower back muscles. Tight abdominals can further contribute to pelvic tilt because they will pull on the pubic bones, combined with tight hamstrings can cause more of an exaggerated tilt. Seek a balance in training that stretches and strengthens opposing muscles. Just nu jobbar vi för att fixa till vissa problemområden, t.ex. smärta i högra axeln och svårigheter att få kontakt med musklerna kring skuldrorna.
Marie är på god väg att bli smärtfri, att nå sin målvikt och att tillslut bli en frisk och hälsosam pensionär!

"Jag vill vara frisk som pensionär." Ett av de mål Marie satte upp i våra inledande samtal. Hon valde att verkligen ta tag i träning, kost och livsstil för 8 veckor sedan och hennes beslutsamhet är förundransvärd.

Med individuellt tränings-/och kostupplägg, 1 PT-pass i veckan och 1 motiverande/strukturellt samtal i veckan har vi redan kommit en bra bit på resan mot alla de mål hon satt upp.
Under perioden har hon t.ex. blivit starkare samtidigt som hon haft en stadig viktnedgång, fått hyfsad kontroll på djupa magmuskler och förbättrat de flesta "skavankerna". Mer uppdateringar kommer!
