The two most common questions I get on transformation pics are how tall are you and how long did it take?
I'm 163cm or 5'4& #34; which is the average height of females and the reason I refuse to hem any jeans. If brands don't cater for my height then I don't want to know about them. 😜
There are 3.5 years between pics and often people feel the need to sarcastically congratulate me on taking that long to lose 5kg but it didn't take that long... these pics just happen to be comparing the time where I said to myself enough was enough and my current form.
There comes a time where you don't want or feel the need to lose any more fat.. yes it kind of means you feel your progress is at a standstill in term of looks as creating definition takes longer but what the two pics don't show is gains in strength, fitness, confidence and body composition. I have a lot less fat and more muscle now so despite not being a whole lot smaller my shape has changed.
I've always been the kind of person that needed to see progress to stay motivated. I've had to face the fact that I'm no spring chicken any more but the way I look at it now is that even if my progress has slowed down, time is still passing and I'm not regressing so I can take that as a huge positive. 😜

I haven't been posting as often as usual on here recently, mainly because I'm not training too much right now sooo there's not all that much to share! Ankles are slowly but surely starting to fix up after a rough couple of months (poor little guys!) So I've started allowing myself a few flips onto crash mats per session β˜ΊπŸ‘πŸΌ But other than that I'm mainly strength training and spending time watching other people train! Aaaanyway, here's what a typical day of training looks like for me at the moment. ↑ This is a little overview of the training I did yesterday! And yes, I did hit my ankle right at the end of the session trying to work on my flares! πŸ™ˆ NB: Flares are NOT ankle friendly. Possibly set my recovery back a day or two? Omg what am I doing?! I have been overweight since childhood. Through high school I struggled with my weight and had self image issues. My first year of college I tried to change my eating habits to lose weight but had no motivation at all. With the stresses of university courses I ate really bad and continued to struggle with my weight.
I have always wanted to dress nicely and have the curves to show off, but because of my overweight body it seemed a dream. Then one day a friend uploaded a group photo on Facebook, and I got really bad comments on my figure and how overweight I was. I was devastated and had a emotional breakdown. At that moment I decided to fully commit to losing the weight.. I started eating healthy and going to the gym 6 days a week... After 10 months of staying fully committed to the diet and training, I lost 42 kgs. That further motivated me to keep going. I started to dress nicely and show my new curves. This added further to my motivation. I trained harder, became stronger, and became more fit. My ultimate motivation is the results I see within myself and that itself is my inspiration to continue.... ______________________________

I've got to work tonight so I've much time to fill my day. I decided to do a mealprep. Usually I'm not that kind of guy who eats out of tupperware all day long but when you're in a rush and have plenty things on your todo-list it's a very easy way of eating healthy though. I'll pack these meals just when I have to because they truely don't taste as delicous as fresh cooked food

Was given the opportunity to become Evening Manager/Night Guardian at this awesome facility, @arlingtonstrength, where they have a huge variety of training equipment and and an even bigger group of great people πŸ™πŸ½. On another note, I'm starting to learn how to do sumo deadlifts again πŸ˜…. Somewhere along the way my technique just went to πŸ’© I was trying a new setup/way of pulling which messed up everything from pulling the slack to staying tight, using glutes, etc. Although there were other factors, I believe this was the primary root of my issues. In a failed attempt to make the lift more efficient, I ended up taking a blow to my potential gains and probably accentuating my hip tightness/pain. It goes to show that the way someone else lifts may not work w/ you, and trying to fix something that's not broken can cause even more issues. 420lb(191kg)x3. @reactivetrainingsystems

The Open is over so we can get back to a strength training program! We started day 1 of Wendler. Estimated 1RM Back Squat of 120kg & Bench of 98kg. Three major sets where the final one is as many reps as possible at a certain percentage of your training 1RM. The estimated 1RM is totally dependent on how many reps you can punch out at the prescribed weight. Therefore, it can vary greatly week to week. β€’
To get these numbers I did 15 reps at 80kg for Back Squat & also 15 reps at 65kg on Bench Press.
