In my experience, at least 90% of people lack the body control and strength to perform this motion well (isolating and actively controlling scapula depression/elevation)

✅Why is it important ➖When performing vertical pulling exercises (chin ups, pull ups, pull downs etc), if you lack the ability to depress the blades, shoulder mechanics will be all screwed up - which is why these movements so often cause people pain.

✅How it's done
➖Hang on a bar as if you're about to perform Pull ups.
➖Start in a relaxed hang - shoulders will be up to your ears.
➖From here, imagine pulling your torso up with locked arms - you can also think about driving your shoulder blades down into your back pockets.
➖To return to hanging, actively reach up, pushing your hands into the bar to maximally elevate the shoulder blades.

This is a great activation / mobility exercise - I like to perform 10 reps as part of an upper body day warm up. If you suck at this - and most people will have very limited ROM, practice like crazy until you have it down! Any further q's, hit me up below 💪⬇️

How do you FEEL about your body? Does it make you proud or anxious or happy or free or sad? I spent years thinking of my body as something that was exterior. Something that the world saw. So I would either dress it up or hide it away depending on how much I weighed and how I looked. Over this year, I've discovered that it isn't something exterior or simply something that others see, but instead is almost completely internal. How you feed your body and how you sleep, move & train will almost always directly effect how you feel (and of course how you look.) There are days when I woke up at 45 kgs and felt like crap and days when I've woken up at 53 kgs and felt amazing ~ simply because I was eating well, sleeping well & lifting well. If you want your body to look amazing on the outside, you HAVE to take the time to fix and feed the inside. That doesn't mean you need to start accepting your fat or poor health but it means you need to stop focusing solely on how you look or how much you weigh and shift your gaze instead to how you feel, feed, sleep & train and you WILL see results, both physical & mental. I don't look epicly lean or defined in this picture, but I feel like a million bucks & I know which is more important. 💸

To continue to build muscle one must work from all angles including having the muscle in a fully lengthened or fully contracted position. Here is a bicep exercise from a lengthened position. The opposite, a contracted position would be incline curls.
Try it out! Pause and squeeze hard at the top, and try not to move the elbow much. You may have to lighten the weight. The pump will feel deeper than usual, like there is a tennis ball inside your upper arm!

トレーニングはオフだったけど、スクワット翌日のカラダがカロリー欲しがる感は半端ない(笑)
やはりペースが速くてトレーニングの使用重量が落ちすぎるので、ここから1週間は69.9〜70.5くらいをキープするようにコントロールしてみます。
