🍎START OF CUT VS. END OF CUT🍩

For the past seven weeks I’ve been running a mini cut. I’ve dropped 3kg, 5cm from my waist and have maintained (if not improved) my strength.
-
Whatever your goal is, reducing your body fat percentage, losing scale weight or becoming leaner, you don’t have to suffer through it. Weight loss does not equate to hard times and discomfort, provided you do it the right way.
-
There’s no need to cut out food groups, or avoid carbs at night, or eat strict, 200g prepackaged meals at two-hour intervals.

Your weight loss phase need not go on for months and months. You don’t need to do hours and hours of cardio. -
All you need is a calorie deficit. It’s really that simple. You can achieve this in any fashion you like but I would suggest eating as much as possible to lose weight and do so eating foods that actually make you happy (and make you want to do a little dance while you eat them).

Currently sitting at 2kgs above what I always considered my 'sweet spot' of 57kgs (I'm 163cm tall) but I'm not concerned.
I believe we should eat for health and the rest will fall into place - fat loss, clear skin, shiny hair, strong nails, good mood etc.
The older I get and the cleaner I eat, the less tolerant my body is of the bad decisions I make (and I've made a fair few recently) so I really need to be consistent going forward.
While I want to minimise the selfies I put on here, I think it's important to see the effects of my diet and workouts otherwise it's like a recipe without a picture. 😝
I've managed to simplify my workouts and my meals which is key, as being a mum means I'm time poor from the get go and now I'm also studying again because it's never too late right? 🤓
Going to complete this look with some gardening gloves and get some sun while I repot all my orchids. It's all about multi-tasking. 😂

Now THAT'S a transformation! Should've done one with my wolves! 🐶🐶🐶

👉Three simple tips to help correct muscle imbalances:

1️⃣Perform unilateral movements. They are a great way to build strength, correct size/strength imbalances, and improve stability and athletic performance. Examples are, Bulgarian split squats, single arm DB rows, single arm landmine press, etc.

2️⃣Start with your weak side and match the amount of reps with your stronger side.

3️⃣Start with your strong side and match your reps on the weak side using the rest pause method. Let’s say hit 10 reps with your right side, but only 7 with your left. After hitting your seventh rep, take a short rest and hit 1-2 more. Do it again until you hit 10.

Happy Thursday!! I have not been feeling the best recently as I caught a nasty cold 😣😣and as I hardly ever get sick due to my healthy lifestyle it was very hard to deal with the fact I felt so 💩💩and actually had to take some down time (very hard for me) but I took some time rest and then the last 3 days I have been back at the gym and working but still taking it more easy than usual, today however I was fully back in action and smashed out a great leg session man it felt good!! more tiered than normal still but managed to get up to my normal weights so was very happy!! Here's today's workout give it a go for some 🍑🍑gains

B1.4x up and back walking kettlebell lunges

C1.4x20 abductors w 40 step up hops (20 each leg)
C2.2x15 reverse abductors

D2.3x10 single leg pistol squats

My best training days are when I feel the most confident prior to the lift. If powerlifting has taught me anything, it’s that confidence matters and mindset is everything. I treat my volume sets/days with just as much intensity and focus as my top singles or a PR. How else are you supposed to get strong if you don’t believe in your own strength and abilities?? 🤔
