WHY ARE THEY DROPPING THEIR DEADLIFTS?

It is a great way to minimize fatigue by eliminating the eccentric portion of the lift, which is where most of the muscle damage occurs. As they are in camp and training volume is high, i want to minimize fatigue accumulated in the weight room.

A lot of sneakers have highly cushioned soles designed to absorb force that can be quite unstable under heavy loads. Here we are trying to produce as much force as possible and want a nice stable base to lift from. -
