Falcon Hotel - Stratford upon Avon
#Stratford is crammed full of #English #history brought to life. Falcon Hotel is 10 minute walk from the railway station.
We stayed for two nights. #Hotel staff are all lovely, especially the ladies on reception. We stayed in the old part of the hotel, a very creaky, #spooky room on the front which suited us fine. Everything was on a slant as you would expect with an old building with uneven floors and #creaky floor boards, quite a novelty!! En-suite bathroom was tidy, modern and clean.
We booked a #twin #en-suite. Room itself was large, clean, warm and very comfortable. The bed was comfy and cosy. Everything worked well in the room and although the #decor was slightly dated I felt was in keeping with the theme of the hotel.
Attractive #Tudor building with modern additions - seems to be always busy, but well organised and efficient. Some rooms are over the bar and can be noisy - not rowdy, but just lively conversations echoing through the floorboards!
The interior of the hotel was nice, they have nice #bar you can get your #drink and sit in any lounges you want, they were nice and cosy.
Ideally situated for the town and the theatre, short walking to restaurants, shops and everything you need.
The service was very good and the staff will do anything they can to help and with a smile too. The atmosphere in the hotel is welcoming with open fires. I love old buildings with comfort. Loved the smell of old wooden #building inside as soon you walk in
Do not miss the #RSC theatre tour or the #Shakespeare houses where history is played out to you personally. Its fun, especially when you #travel with 8 years old.
Falcon hotel is a 4 stars place. I am not sure if star rating is correct for now but if they refurbish and invest in the property – definitely I can say its 4 star accommodation
Looking forward to stay again in couple of years! #stratforduponavon #hotelinspectorbeata #falconhotel #warwickshire #muststay #mustvisit #visitengland #shakespearesglobe #england
