Week 103 of 120 weeks of Continuation Therapy.
Freddie Alan's number were quite a lot lower yesterday due to a increase in chemo, his ANC went from 6,220 last week to 1,680, the decrease in numbers is good as they want him to stay suppressed. His dr wants to keep him on the increased dose and since his counts dropped so quickly, is having us return on Monday to check counts and decrease chemo if neccessary. We don't want him to be neutropenic on Thanksgiving as we will be out of town visiting family.
The kids have been enjoying the unseasonably cold temps this week and we even had a tiny bit of snow, which they excitedly scooped up and played with.
I was thinking this week that it's been 119 weeks since this journey began, the journey to save Freddie Alan's life. I think we are quite tattered from it all and are eagerly looking ahead to the finish line where we hope to find a bit of rest and healing from our long sojourn.
If you know someone who is going through what we are, please reach out to them and help carry their burdens, no one should ever have to walk this journey alone and yet so many do.
