I don’t understand why people want to travel just to stop by for three minutes at the same place that five million people do in a year and take the same photo each of those people have and then shuffle on to the next hot spot. And a lot of those places I just don’t understand the big deal about them.
Now, yes you have to go to some of these places and take a photo so everyone can know where you are, but why does everyone care?
One is things everybody just HAS to go to, that I don’t get, is the Mona Lisa (seen it in books, don’t care). Another is the Leaning Tower of Pisa (My life will be just as complete if I never take a picture of me pretending to hold it up). But the one thing that is completely lost on me above all is the Spanish Steps in Rome. Now Rome is beautiful, and so fun s this area, but I’ve been there before during the day when there are so many people you can’t walk through. I decided to go back last night and see if I felt differently in the dark and with less people. Nope. Still don’t get the big deal. @minoritynomad made the same observation when he just happened to post on it at the exact same time I was there thinking this, so it ain’t just me. #overrated #itspretty #stilldontcare #atleastididntpayforit
