Exercising in a fasting state: Exercising ultimately in addition to dieting, will aid your weight loss progress. However when you do it may influence your progress. Exercising in a faster state, ie. after sleep or after not eating for a prolonged period will burn more fat. Research shows that exercising when insulin levels are at a baseline levels burns slightly more fat than exercising with higher insulin levels.

Workouts burn large amounts of glucose, which will cause your body to turn to your fat stores for energy earlier than if you hadn’t exercised. This doesn’t mean in a fed state you won’t burn fat, raised insulin levels during exercise is still effective, however your glucose stores will be used prior to fat stores.
If you have hit a plateau in your workout.. try changing the time of your workouts. Altering your diet and adding some HITT, Circuits and Weights.

Meet our PT Jo 😘
I just wanted to to show you all my motivation and share with you all why I now am doing this. Being a PT isn’t my main job, I’m a paramedic.

I have always suffered from low self esteem and I have always hated my body imagine. A while ago I met some amazing Personal Trainers who inspired me, who helped me achieve my goal. They have ultimately inspired me to pursue being a Personal Trainer. In my younger days I was a gym instructor, then I went to university and claimed a 2:1 BSc in Sports and Physical Education. From there I didn’t really know where to go so went back to working in gyms.
Shortly after I got a job as a paramedic and completed a Diploma of Higher Education in Paramedic Science. I currently still work for the ambulance service as a paramedic.
I have always been a regular gym go-er and consider it a hobby of mine. After achieving my aim of loosing what I wanted, I now want to help others.
I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer and my aim is to motivate, teach, assist and train those to help achieve their goals.
I understand first hand the struggles, the unmotivated days and the hardship we get have when we are stuck and aren’t getting anywhere. This will be overcome and change can happen, sometimes a little bit of help or advice can go a long way... and a bit of added inspiration.

Everyone has a story and I want to hear it to help each client to achieve their own personal goals. Everyone is an individual, has different aims and desires and finding out the core reason to their aims, it will give me a deeper understand to help their lifestyle for the better.
