I have recieved many positive comments on my elf eyebrows, both for Elise Starseeker and for Stellagosa.
So I have decided to make a little tutorial for how I make and attach mine ^^ 1.
First of all you need some pieces of hair that is a little bit longer than how long you want your eyebrows to be. I usually just cut off some hair when I cut the wig and put it aside for the eyebrows.
Remember, it is better to have too much hair than not enough.
Then you have to make a pattern. You draw out the shape and size you want, cut it out and hold it up to your face to see if it needs to be changed a bit.
When you have the shape you want it is time to make the eyebrows!
I always tape the pattern to the table and put a piece of clear plastic on top. Then you take an amount of the hair that should be enough for one eyebrow and start adding woodglue to it.
I find it easiest to use a paint brush for this.
When you have added the glue to both sides you can start to shape the eyebrow to match you pattern.
I usually cut off each end of the hair so that it is just a little bit too long in each end. Fit is as much as you can and try to keep it as smooth as possible.
Then you just let it dry in the right shape and move on to the other eyebrow.
Remember to flip the pattern for the second one. Then you just repeat the process.
All that is left now is to trim the fully dried eyebrows into the final shape matching the pattern that you made.
To glue them on I use Mastix Spirit Gum on the eyebrows (remember to tap it until it is sticky) and then I just press them onto my own, untreated eyebrows until they stay in place.
