Alright well I could not be happier that this day is coming to a close. I need a refreshing dose of patience. . . . . . All workouts today on a scale from lol to kms fall under a bit above lol. Not too hard but still made me sweat. . . . . Workouts: Swim: 8x75s 8x50s and 8x25s 4 sprint and 4 with fins and then all the way back up to double the distance. Then I finished off with an easy auburn kick set . . Running: I only did a mile but I did it in intervals 1/9 walk 1/9 jog 1/9 run then down to jog etc and back up till I finished the mile. . . Biking: I did a cardio set for a half hour struggling to keep my legs moving after so much leg work that day but I finished strong with almost 7 miles down and a solid average level. . . . . . Nutrition: breakfast was a delicious smoothie bowl with fresh strawberries and “lunch” was @onepotatotwopotato plain chips and @steaz jasmine hibiscus iced tea. . . . . . . . . #tri#triathlon#triathlontraining#smoothie#smoothiebowl#nutrition#healthy#healthyliving#healthyfood#healthylifestyle#swim#bike#run#swimbikerun#gym#easy#fit#steaz#potato#sweetpotato#tea#greentea

Some interesting things I've learned about prickly pear water / cactus water... - has a ton of health and hydrating benefits - low in sugar - has a mild, refreshing, berry-like taste - has about half the calories of coconut water - the only known natural source of all 24 betalains - great for your skin - has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties - has 5 natural electrolytes - magnesium, potassium, phosphorous, calcium, and sodium -high in amino acid taurine
Click my blog link to read everything else I found out about prickly pear water and why you might want to try some! I love coconut water but I don't always want something so sweet, so I was really interested to learn there is something that might be better for hydrating during activity.
I recently tried some prickly pear water with green tea by @steaz. They've got a few other flavors too, with starfruit and cucumber, lightly sweetened with just a hint of stevia.
