"My name is Karlo, 23 years old student living in Zagreb, Croatia and currently working on my Masters Degree in psychology. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in September 2017 and had my total colectomy surgery only one month after diagnose. As a young man living happily life, being confident and very active in sports (volleyball, tennis,…) being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis was the most heart-broking and self-destructive moment in my life so far. It changed my body, self image and mind completely. I went from a normal looking young man to losing 45 pounds, looking very sick. Having an ileostomy was not easy at the start, but thanks to internet and a blog/vlog ostomates influencers, such as @vegan_ostomy , I know my life can be as easy as before. My diet, college and social life is normal like before. The only problem I had after all was clothing and if I could swim in the sea with my ileostomy. My pouch was visible in almost every shirt I was wearing and especially in slim shirts which I love the most.
Then I found StealthBelt. I wasn’t sure if that would help me with clothes, but I gave it a try. After putting it on for the first time I was… in SHOCK. I couldn’t believe how this belt works perfectly on ileostomy and how it almost looks invisible with clothes. I was so pleased with belt wearing it for few months that I had to purchase another one for swimming. I ordered Neoprene Extreme Stealth Belt for swimming and was pleasantly surprised even more. It stays in place and you can do ANYTHING in the water with it. Now I feel like I don’t have anything else that could stop me from doing anything I wanted in my life. I have so many presentations, seminars and live stands where I was so scared because of my ileostomy showing and now it’s all gone. People can tell I am being myself as before and see me as powerful and young as I have always been. Even though I have an open option for J-pouch surgery I feel like this is the life I want to live right now and people see this as life motivation - a young man living with a hard illness living life to its fullest!”
