Nutrition is by far the most difficult aspect of a healthy lifestyle. This difficulty is compounded depending on your particular goals such as losing weight or gaining weight (healthy weight - i. e. lean muscle mass) and it is the single most common reason people fail to maintain weight loss.
Any nutrition plan worth a damn must create a balance so that the individual can be flexible while staying on track. I won’t name or argue for or against any particular plan, that’s not the point of my post. The point is, in order to be successful in maintaining a healthy lifestyle you must find a nutrition plan that you can feel good about, one that you can adhere to without feeling deprived or restricted. It’s through time and repetition that both good and bad habits are formed. If your nutrition plan is truly right for you it will be relatively easy to turn it into habit. I find that prepping meals ahead of time is the best way to keep myself on track. It creates structure and holds me accountable. *
