Starting this Saturday, 10/21 @ 9:30am Barry's River North I'll be leading Barry's Release, a guided stretch class aimed to increase your performance in the Red Room. The class will include soft-tissue release ("foam rolling"), dynamic stretching, and static stretching to complete a full recovery format.

The benefits of movement preparation through foam rolling & stretching include:
* Decreased muscle soreness post-class
* Reduced risk of injury due to inactivity and immobility
* Increased speed and strength performance
[I'm talking to you my runners with hip, knee, and calf soreness...] 🏃🏼. The class will last 45 minutes, and can be tailored to work pre or post-class as well as a standalone recovery format. CHOCOLATE CHIP COCONUT COLLAGEN BALLS. I mean, need I say more? I actually can’t, bc that name was long enough as it is. 😆

“Energy balls” are a staple in our house. 🏡 I mean, even Reid learned where I stashed them and how to say “bawwwwll” (in his Southern baby accent 👶) pretty quick like. 😋 Anyway, these are a play on my usual energy ball recipe (which you can find on my site), but with a collagen-infused twist. 😉

WHAT WENT DOWN:
• 1 C rolled oats
• 1/2 C nut butter (I used 1/4 C @georgiagrinders creamy cashew butter + 1/4 C @eatnuttzo power fuel chocolate seed/nut butter)
• 3 scoops @vitalproteins COCONUT COLLAGEN CREAMER (their brand new product, which is AMAZING 🙌 They also have a vanilla and gingerbread flavor 🤤)
• 1/4 C unsweetened shredded coconut
• 2-3 splashes of @rebbl chocolate reishi drink (or you could use nut milk)
• 1/4 C @enjoylifefoods mini chocolate chips

Put everything but the chocolate chips into a food processor. Blend on low/pulse until it forms a ball (adding in the splashes of liquid a little at a time as needed to help it along). Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll into balls (recipe makes about 15) and freeze for 20-30 min to help set. Store in fridge or freezer for easy snack-a-lackin’. 👅

Jaime's I Love Banana Bread Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup frozen zucchini
1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
1 scoop @vitalproteins Banana Cinnamon Collagen Whey
1/2 banana
handful of walnuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup nutmilk (homemade is best–LOL I sound like Ina, not sorry, walnut milk makes it even better!)
Pinch of Himalayan salt–SUPER IMPORTANT–thank me later

INSTRUCTIONS:
Add zucchini, cauliflower, @vitalproteins, banana, walnuts, cinnamon, vanilla and salt to your Vitamix and BLEND BABY BLEND! 🤤Enjoy with a @hummingbirdstraws it automatically tastes better!

Just finished up leg day at the gym 🍑 and now I’m finishing up the last of these delicious 😋 gluten free collagen and adaptogenic pumpkin spice muffins 🙌 I used a rice and tapioca flour mix, a couple of pasture raised eggs 🥚, pumpkin purée, lots of pumpkin spice seasoning ☺️, 2 scoops of collagen peptides from @vitalproteins , grass fed butter, real coconut milk and cordyceps/ashwagandha/he shou wu from @sunpotion ✨💯

apple pie kind of morning 🍁🍂 stewed apples with tons of pumpkin pie spice, finished off with vanilla ghee @fourthandheart 👅makes me wanna lick the bowl clean ✨the oats are super simple, filled with tons of healthy fats, soak 2 cups of @bobsredmill gluten free oats in full fat coconut milk & water overnight then cook with more water, some salt, vanilla extract, 4-5 T of ground flaxseeds, 2 scoops of collagen (optional) cook on medium low heat until thick and creamy. pour in a bowl, top with the jeweled stewed apples and enjoy your perfect fall brekkie. this is a perfect way example of getting tons of omega three fatty acids with the help of flaxseeds. plus low in sugar. eating like this has helped manage my bipolar disorder & hormonal imbalance in a holistic way, instead of relying on pills that can often cause more harm in the long run. feeding your mood with food is easy, and delicious. have a happy thrusday my beautiful people. #followourpassionstyle #feedyourmoodwithfood
