Listen: Yoga teachers don't do all this $&@t because we're good at it: We do it because we NEED it. We get anxious, we get depressed, and we need the breath and the beauty of the asanas because without them the world would be more grim, and possibly less loving.
The primary purpose of the asanas is to learn how to love yourself. Love your creases and your curves and even your pains and limitations fully, wholly - to saturate yourself with breath and acceptance. This whole "being human" thing can be hard. Make it easier on yourself. Be compassionate. #bekind "You could travel the whole world over looking for someone more deserving of your love then yourself - and you would never find him." - Paraphrased from the Buddha 🙏🏾 #nobullshityoga

"My earliest memory is my mom picking me up after I had fallen down, giving me a big hug and reading me 'Goodnight Moon.' From that moment, to this one, every single memory I have of my mom is that regardless of what was happening in her life, she was always, always there for me." #startyoganow
