My safe haven has changed,
The troubles have moved in next door.
Luck never changed the address.
Everything's on its way back to the sender.
It's better now when I don't care as much.
No one bothers me -
Love once made it's way under my roof.
Left with them as soon as they did.
Understanding my current place isn't always fun.
I've had to go through to get through
& even that was not enough for their weight to be lifted.
What I work through I still feel,
What I remove somehow surfaces again.

Moves to shapes of old souls enclosed in borders shaded in the color of my arms.
