I was reminded recently of December 2016 and what was driving the changes I was making in my life. I had started the process of eliminating things that weren’t making me happy and started to put my energy into all that did bring me happiness. Sometimes we don’t see the successes we have had because they gradually happen or because we have come so far we forget where we started. I was in a place where I hated what I did for work, my job was taking me away from practicing yoga almost completely and it was majorly starting to make an impact on my teaching. Those things were fully breaking my heart. I was good at my job and students still loved my classes and I had a packed schedule but my health took a huge decline and my stress was through the roof and like I said previously... my practice was taking a hit and wasn’t given the right amount of my energy. ✨So what changed? I had enough and wanted to make the change. I put pictures of what I wanted on my mirror, things like a picture of a tiny beach house, a big yoga brand, a surf board and a few other things. Every day I would see those things and smile. It was what I wanted of my life. Any time I thought negative I turned those thoughts into a positive. No “how can I move on my own? How will I save enough money to do this solo?” It was all “I will move on my own and I will save enough to do this comfortably” 🙏🏻 My whole life started to shift and there were times it was hard but it all started happening. The right people came into my life, the right mentors and the right support. ❤️ If anyone is wanting to change their life or make their dreams happen, I want you to know that every little change you make to get there will make an impact. Start telling yourself you can, write down what that dream really looks like, make a vision board or something for you to look at daily, invite positive people in your life and be open to mentors to help guide you, speak positive to yourself every day about your goals and don’t be afraid for it to take some time. 🙏🏻 It will be amazing to see where you are a year later after putting so much positive energy out!
