It's no use to force the hot-headed wanderer to walk a path when they do not know what awaits them at its end.
We set laws, restrictions; try so hard to mold the untamable world around us while forgetting, pushed by the impulse of quick change, the longer, more effective solutions. Education is the most prominent of those solutions. Laws and sanctions work best on those who affect our environment today; the poachers, illegal traders, hunters and all those who were not raised with the notion of environmental respect. Once that generation grows old, it is the present youth that will take charge. And right there is the root of the problem. Environmentalism is taught from the earliest ages, from walks in the park to paging through books about wildlife, these seemingly irrelevant actions are seed of an open mindset. Talking to a child about the beauty of nature and its importance, even in the simplest way possible, creates a base connection in their mind between people and the environment. Breaking free from the mental enclavement of present urban life can go a very long way, especially in the early developmental stages of children.
We can't just stand there on the sidelines, mourning the burnt forest ; our duty is to get up, plant the seeds and water them, to gently guide the green spores towards the skies until they bloom and walk the rest of the path on their own, reviving the ashes at their feet into blades of grass that sway in the breeze.
