Well two things happened today :
I was super hypeeeeee to get a good workout in after 6 days of not lifting.
Got to the gym and immediately sliced my finger open on the squat rack ... pretty deep but I just put a bandaid on that shit and kept going.
I got these 3 exercises in before I was rudely interrupted and forced out of the gym for recording myself ... after I had a sit down meeting with one of the managers prior to signing up giving them a low down of what I do.
I'll just add this to my list of minor set backs ... until then trying to find a good gym ๐Ÿ˜‰
Trying to build these legs/glutes up so here's some good ones to try.
I maxed out with squats before I did the pulse squats so it was a good burn to do after regular squatting.

DB sumo squats
Elevated DB lunges

I see beginners/people doing group fitness doing this all the time. Pretty easy to get wrong.

โŒ Knee traveling inward
โŒ Ankle collapsing inward
โŒ Will become primary pattern if not fixed
โŒ Can eventually lead to injury

HOW YOU SHOULD LUNGE
-
โœ… Knee travelling forward (same direction as toes)
โœ… Ankle in a more stable position
โœ… Using the appropriate muscle groups
โœ… Safer movement and will reduce chance of injury

Picture of day 10 of the 30 day squat challenge. Now on concrete. As you can see at my toes I had a hard time holding this. The underdeveloped dorsiflexion in my ankle begins to hurt pretty quickly. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ I'm going work on my ankle mobility with deep tissue selfmassage and stretching.
