For any exercise in any program, there has to be a conversation about 'Cost vs Benefit'. What does it do for an athlete? How will it develop the properties they need? Is there a better exercise that is excluded because of this choice?

More importantly, how long will it take to perfect this exercise? For many "simple" exercises, it takes minutes to teach and hours to perfect. For Olympic Lifting, it takes weeks to teach and months to perfect ... If you're going to do it right.

For @toronto_rush & @goatultimate athletes, we have spent upwards of 2-4 years (depending on the athlete) taking advantage of the 'low-hanging fruit' within a training program, maximizing development and consistency within #Plyometrics, #Agility, and #Sprint Mechanics. The Romanian Deadlift (RDL) is without a doubt one of the best exercises for building the muscles on the backside of the body, muscles that are critical for speed, jumping and nearly every other athletic skill.

You find the RDL in many training programs as a supplemental exercise in a lower-body workout. But the move's benefits really should put it in the same league as primary lifts like the Squat and the Deadlift. Here's why: .
⚫Romanian Deadlifts increase mobility in your hips due to the straighter leg position.
⚫The RDL works your glutes and hamstrings more than a conventional Deadlift because the quads don't contribute as much.
⚫It improves dynamic flexibility, especially in your hamstrings and low back. .
(For those keeping score at home, while "mobility" refers to the range of motion at a specific joint, "flexibility: refers to a muscle's ability to lengthen, and "dynamic flexibility" refers to a muscle's ability to lengthen during athletic movements, such as a sprint.)
⚫Compared to the conventional Deadlift, the Romanian–also called "Stiff-Leg"–version focuses more on the hip hinge, which is an essential movement pattern all athletes must learn and master.

Hipertrofia (sarcoplasmática e miofibrilar) 9-12reps - 70-80% e 6-8reps - 79-85% dos RM’s tirados na primeira avaliação.
As RM’s não são as mais certas/diretas mas os atletas têm o objetivo de aumentarem as cargas até ao final de cada mesociclo, isto sempre dentro do range de repetições.

Estamos no segundo ano de treinos de força e não poderíamos estar mais fortes, nota se uma grande diferença parabéns a todos 💪🏼
