On Wednesday I went to a social organised by @bethshehata@behindmarthas and @theinteriorslady and it was so much fun! I met so many inspiring people and it was so nice to be able to put a face to some of the Insta accounts I engage with 😁
I've written about my experience as a first timer in my blog: www.homestyleaddict.com Xx
I haven’t posted many photos of the dining room on it’s own. Probably because it’s still not 100% finished. I’m still in need of a rug for under the dining table but I just can’t find one I love that’s less than £400! I think the wall needs something to detract from the TV so I’d like to put two small shelves up on the left but the OH says a firm NO to things on perfect walls. Plus he probably doesn’t want me to fill them with more plants 😉 It will be finished one day..... eventually 😂 . . .
Still haven’t got that fire fitted. So the only really cosy warmth in this house comes from a bath. Can any one local (North East) recommend a reasonable but GOOD person who fits logs burners and opens up the fireplace? Want it sorted before the big ‘C’ . Day 20: fireplace warmth @myhousethismonth
Can’t beat a morning cuppa! Got that autumnal feeling this morning 🍂🍂🍁🍁
Books! A childhood escape! I remember when I could read a book in a day! My Nan was the librarian in the village so I spent some time there with her 💜 She opened up the world of wonder to me. I have fond memories travelling to Carlow and she would bring me into a second hand book shop, it was like a toy shop to me 😁. I'm glad the kids love to read now too. These are the bookshelves in the playroom that fit nicely behind the door and over the radiator. They each have a shelf in their bedroom as well. I must make time to read again! Happy Saturday X
