Has your health or fitness coach ever told you to stay away from fruit? Rly tho tell me? I want to know just HOW common this is.. 🍌🍉I remember loving fruit before I got into competing and when I was told by my ‘health’ coach that I had to eliminate it from my diet I was so confused. ☹️ Of course it has carbs and sugar, but it also has a ton of vitamins and minerals! The point of this post is to 1. Tell you you can enjoy fruit & still reach your fitness goals - don’t be afraid of the sugar (all things in moderation, and sugar is a carb, count as such 👍) and 2. Be aware that dried fruit (which is daaalicious) is usually much higher cal than regular fruit b/c of the oil and sugar used to cook and sweeten it. Again, that doesn’t mean you can’t eat it and still reach your fitness goals. Just be aware, track it (if you track your intake) and make it fit within your diet. 👏👏🍌 .
