In a world that tells us we’re only as valuable as what we produce, we have a Savior that loved us before we even knew what doing anything for Him even meant.
He does not approve of or love us for what we do for Him but because we are His. He didn’t save us just to use us but because He was willing to die that we wouldn’t have to live eternally separated from Him.
When we’re weak and tired and broken and empty He loves us just as much as when we’re out doing all the things for Him and making disciples. We don’t work for His approval but from it.
A heart at rest in the Fathers love has to believe this. If we find ourselves empty and worn out today, the answer is not in trying harder but receiving from Him. He is our source and strength and His love is waiting to minister to us if we would just hold still long enough from all our trying to let Him. #walkingreflections •
